Frequently asked questions

Everything people ask about SaaS-SEO, answered plainly. If your question is not here, email hello@saas-seo.co.uk.

What is SaaS-SEO?
SaaS-SEO is a curated directory of backlink opportunities for SaaS companies. It lists vetted guest post, niche edit, directory and resource page opportunities with prices shown up front, plus a pipeline for tracking every placement from shortlist to published link.
Who is SaaS-SEO for?
SaaS founders doing their own SEO, in-house growth and SEO marketers at software companies, and agencies building links for SaaS or B2B software clients. If you spend time hunting for places to get links, the directory replaces that hunting.
What kinds of backlink opportunities are in the directory?
Four types: guest posts (sites that accept full articles), niche edits (links added to existing articles), directories (SaaS and business listings) and resource pages (curated lists of tools). Each entry is labelled free or paid, with the host's price shown when there is one.
How are opportunities vetted?
Every opportunity is reviewed by a human before it goes live and graded for quality and intent. Dead sites, link farms and pages with no realistic acceptance path do not make it into the directory.
Are there free opportunities, or is everything paid?
Both. Self-submit directories and resource pages are often free, and they sit alongside paid guest post and niche edit placements. The free or paid status and any price are shown up front, so you always know the cost before you start outreach.
Does SaaS-SEO do the outreach for me?
No. SaaS-SEO gives you the researched targets and the tracking system, and you do the outreach. That keeps you in control of your relationships and your anchor text, and keeps the price at a flat monthly fee rather than hundreds of pounds per link.
Does SaaS-SEO sell backlinks?
No. We list opportunities, including what hosts charge for placements, but we are not a link broker and we take no commission. Any payment for a paid placement goes directly between you and the host site.
How much does SaaS-SEO cost?
£49 per month for everything: the full directory, unlimited projects, all filters and search, the placement pipeline and CSV export. There are no tiers and no per-seat charges.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, 7 days. A card is required to start the trial, and you can cancel any time during it and pay nothing.
How do I cancel my subscription?
From the Billing page in the app, which opens the secure Stripe customer portal. You can update your card, download invoices or cancel there. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
What is a niche edit?
A niche edit (also called a link insertion) is a link added to an existing, already-indexed article on another site. Because the page already has age and authority, niche edits often pass value faster than a brand new guest post.
What is a guest post?
A guest post is an article you write and publish on someone else's site, usually with a link back to your own site in the body or author bio. It is one of the most reliable ways for a SaaS company to earn relevant, contextual backlinks.
Do backlinks still matter for SaaS in 2026?
Yes. Links remain a core ranking signal in Google, and third-party mentions and citations also influence whether AI assistants like ChatGPT and Perplexity recommend your product. Authority earned through links now pays off in both classic search and AI answers.
Can agencies use SaaS-SEO for multiple clients?
Yes. Projects are unlimited, so an agency can run one project per client site and track each client's placements separately, all under one £49 per month subscription.
Can I export the directory?
Yes. Any filtered view of the catalogue can be exported to CSV, which is useful for reporting, prospecting sheets and importing into your own outreach tools.
How often are new opportunities added?
New batches are reviewed and added regularly. The directory launched with over 100 vetted opportunities and grows as new sources are vetted; every addition goes through the same human review.
